Lavorare in Australia non è così semplice come si pensa.Però se uno si arma di santa pazienza, insistenza e coraggio ce la può fare.
L’hospitality è l’industria più a portata di mano per aprirsi una breccia di speranza. Ci sono tanti bar, ristoranti in cui è richiesta una mano, dato che c’è un turn over spaventoso.
Il Turismo in realtà è la quarta industria nel paese, perché prima vengono Immigrazione, Miniere, ed Educazione, ( non precisamente in quest’ordine) in cui però è più difficile trovare lavoro.
Nei bar, ristoranti il più delle volte vieni pagato bene, come se fosse un lavoro come tanti altri e non c’è il classismo che c’è in Italia.
Certo pure qui trovi chi ti sotto paga, chi ti paga in nero, ma se insisti di solito poi qualcosa di buono lo trovi. La minimum rate da cui partire a tutt’oggi è stabilita sui 17 dollari circa all’ora, io ho trovato anche un bar che ne dava 23$. Più vai lontano dal centro della Città di Sydney e più hai speranza di trovare lavoro e anche un visto sponsor che ti faccia rimanere nel paese dopo che hai finito il tuo visto WHV oppure Student visa.
Più passano gli anni e più diventa complicato lavorare al giorno d’oggi anche in Australia.
Tante persone emigrano e L’Australia in primis cerca sempre di favorire gli Australiani, come è giusto che sia.
Certo è anche che, non è facile destreggiarsi tra i vari visti: 457( sponsor visa)186, skilled Visa, WHV, student visa etc…

Working in Australia is not as simple as you may think. But if you are armed with patience, persistence and courage you can do it.
The hospitality industry is the easiest one on finding a job. There are many bars, restaurants that require a hand, since there is a big turn over.
Tourism as you may know is the fourth industry in the country; Before that, as major industries we have Immigration, Mining, and Education, (not exactly in that order) in which, however, is more difficult to find a job.
In bars, restaurants most of the time you earn good money and therefore you put enthusiasm in what you do because is a job like another, not like in Italy, where if you are a waiter, you feel like ashamed because there is a lot of classism.
In Australia you may find as well who under pays you, black market, but if you insist then usually you can find something good. The minimum rate to date is established in 17$ per hour.I also found a bar that gave me 23$. There are good restaurants that pay 30$ per hour, so it really depends.
Far away you go from the center of the city of Sydney the more you have a possibility to find a job and a sponsor visa that makes you stay in the country after you’ve finished your visa WHV or Student visa.
The more years pass by, the less jobs are vacant.
Many people migrate to Australia but the Government is still trying to encourage Australians to find a job first, yet, as it should be.
And of course it is also not easy to manage the various visas: 457 (visa sponsor) 186, skilled visa, WHV, student visa etc ..
